imiko formally dumps Labour Party for PDP

Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State on Thursday formally defected from the Labour Party to the Peoples Democratic Party.
Mimiko led two members of the
National
Assembly from the state, all the 26 members of the state House of Assembly, all members of the State Executive Council and his supporters to the PDP. He made the formal declaration at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, at an event presided over by Vice President Namadi Sambo.
“I, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, following extensive consultations across the land, today finally announce the decision of members of the National Assembly from the LP in Ondo State, members of the LP in the Ondo State, members of the LP in the Ondo State House of Assembly, members of the State Executive Council and indeed all those who share our aspirations, to join the PDP,” Mimiko told the gathering that included the President of the Senate, David Mark; Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State and leaders of the PDP from the South-West.
He said his decision to return to the PDP arose after a period of consultation with major stakeholders in the state, including traditional and religious leaders, market men and women, artisans, trade unions and community as well as party leaders.
The governor, who was in the PDP before the 2007 governorship election, where he contested against Dr. Olusegun Agagu, said he took the decision to return to PDP in the overall interest of his people and the nation., as well as its democracy.
Mimiko said his immediate target was to help the process of getting President Goodluck Jonathan re-elected in 2015.
Mark, in his remarks, said he was happy that Mimiko decided to return from his “self-exile.”
He said it was the desire and wish of the party leadership that the governor reconciles everybody within the party.
Lagos –  Some factory workers in Lagos on Thursday embarked on a peaceful protest against alleged exploitation by their employer which, they claimed, led to the death of their colleague.
The workers of the Linda Manufacturing Company, Agege, producers of E-xpression hair `attachment’, protested to the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA) over alleged poor condition of
service
.The workers claimed that their colleague, Mr Nnamdi Solomon, died due to maltreatment by the firm owned by Chinese.
The Leader of the protesters, Mr Vincent Victor, said: “Solomon went to complain to the management that he had stomach pains but he was not allowed to go home until the closing hour which led to his death because of the severe pain.
“The management kept us in darkness, trying to sweep the case under the carpet.
“It knows we are going to stop work if we are aware that our colleague is dead.
“Solomon’s body was left inside the gutter for two days in the rain within the premises before we found him.’’
Victor alleged that the company usually sacked workers or seized their salaries whenever they were absent from work.
Mr Bisi Yusuf, Chairman of the House Committee on Transportation, Commerce and Industry, said that the House would investigate the allegation.
“We are going to investigate the matter; we will not spare anyone found guilty,’’ he said.
Yusuf (APC-Alimosho I) thanked the protesters for being peaceful.(NAN)

How Christians in Russia worship a tree after seeing the face of Jesus On its trunk!

The images began to appear on the birch tree in the village of Burmakino in central Russia's Kirov Oblast last month in the places where gardeners had trimmed off old branches.
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/10/02/1412254753108_wps_11_Pic_shows_Religious_icon_.jpg

Villager Valentina Naumova explained: 'We thought nothing of it until the tree started to form these arched shapes, just like church icons.

The images began to appear on the birch tree in the village of Burmakino in central Russia's Kirov Oblast

'Then the faces of Jesus and his disciples began to appear in them and we realised this really must be God's work.

'It seems to me that they had come to us because they wanted to tell us something.'

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/10/02/1412254758836_wps_12_Pic_shows_Religious_icon_.jpg
The village has had no church building of its own since it was destroyed by Communists in the 1930s. In the Soviet Union, all church owned property was confiscated and turned over to public use and most of it - like the property at Burmakino - was destroyed.

Now whole congregations of people gather in front of the tree to pray and give thanks.

Icons are powerful religious images in the Russian Orthodox Church and are believed to be able to work miracles.

Church leaders are so impressed with the display they now plan to rebuild the village's church, the Kazan Divine Mother church.

Spokesman Father Felix Ozerov explained: 'The holy father has spoken and we are listening.'

AT LAST! Nigeria Military Finally React To The New Video of Shekau in Circulation! [Photos]

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHr3giOJdCmnJdWn-4wzAB37XLWKQkaXC_91Eq5ui00t4cilslPAxurqat1aqglKKKM4e1HqfYIz12SdaZT_uL5dalSzuEJTLmgTGDEg3qcbH8cc1fYviBgb7gtm6vQojc0Q5HZ4sMF8s/s1600/ByUQAi7IQAARJJL.jpg

The Defence Headquarters is studying the claims made in the video purportedly released by the terrorists showing their leader Abubakar Shekau as dismissing his death. From immediate observation and what some online news outlets claimed to have seen, the video did not indicate when it was shot neither did it show any proof of life or currency such as screen time or date.

The video also did not make any reference to anything that has happened since the impostor’s reported death. It is also noteworthy that the air plane said to be mentioned in the video had been missing before he was killed.

It should not surprise anybody if the terrorists decide to manipulate pictures, clone another Shekau or upload a pre-recorded video all in a bid to prove invincible. As far as we are concerned, the individual who was appearing in video and claiming to be the leader of the terrorist group was killed in the Kondunga battle in September.

The resemblance of the corpse and that of the eccentric character was incontrovertible. His identity was equally corroborated by people who knew him before we announced his death. So, while waiting to see the new video before any further statement, our message to them is that justice will be served to whoever bears that name or designation and whoever engages in act.

Fuji Star, Pasuma MANY WOMEN & CHILDREN EXPOSED &Why he still not married at over 45!

  Popular
Fuji
music star, Pasuma Wonder, is still a bachelor, findings have just uncovered. Not only that, the Orobokibo exponent whose real names are Wasiu Ajibola Odetola also has almost half a dozen children, all out of wedlock.

Sources who know him well told us that even before stardom came, he was already a father. His first child, a girl named Wasilat, was born over 20 years ago.

There are also others like Amirah, Khadijat, Barakat, Haliyah and so on. The names of the children’s mothers are Kemi (Wasilat); Lara (Haliyah); Ganiat (Khadijat and Amirah)…Of course, the above women are not the only ones in the life of the husky-voiced musician who grew up in Mushin, Lagos.

In the showbiz sector for instance, he’s alleged to have dated Ayo Adesanya (an actress); Remi Surutu (also an actress); She Baby (an artiste); Doyin Aggrey (a presenter); Bisi Ibidapo-Obe (an actress); Bukky Black (an actress); Tayo Odueke (an actress), among many others. From Kwara State, Pasuma was born on November 27, 1967.

He has over 20 albums to his credit; among them Recognition, Choices, Americana, Joker, Exporter And Importer, Maintain And Sustain, Initiator and Orobokibo, which thrust him on to limelight in 1995 soon after its release. One of his close friends told us that he’s still not married because all the women he trusted before God elevated him disappointed him and broke his heart. “So, now that God has blessed him, he still finds it difficult to trust and believe any of them. But out of all his women, he came close to marrying Ayo Adesanya years back, until something scuttled it.
As his friend, I’m also praying that sooner than later, he should be able to settle down. That’s just my prayer for him. Just like many others who also love him and wish him well”.

Inspired by K1 de Ultimate in 1984 to embrace music, Pasuma attended Mushin
National
Primary School and Nigerian Model High School, also in Mushin. He later toyed with studying English at the Lagos State University, but no one seems to know how the move ended.

T.B Joshua warns people to stop talking bad about his church, claims he saw building collapse coming

During his Sunday September 28th message to his church members, prophet T.B Joshua said he saw theFriday 12th church building collapse happen in a vision. He also warned people to desist from speaking bad about the church and questioning his calling. He said those who are speaking evil of his ministry will suffer for it. Find the full text of his message below...
"Good morning church and viewers all over the world. I want to thank you for your prayer and your love for the victims and relations of all those involved in the incident.
The battle is for the Lord. I really want to thank God. God has been doing so much. We need to know a thousand victories, all the way long. Glory and honour to God Almighty.
For those who are outside the Lord, they would not know. When you are outside God, you will not know what I am talking about. When you are outside the light, you can’t understand what I am talking about.
For the three weeks before the incident, if you heard my message and sat down, you would know I was giving you a vision and prophetic Word on how to handle the situation at hand. Trials and tests are meant for our belief. I go by the directives of God.

I salute the martyrs of faith and the victims. I also salute their relations. My love and my prayers are always with them. The martyrs, victims and their relations, what they would like to see is the work of God continue. That is what they died for, suffered for and are living for.
From your heart, commit the relations of the martyrs to God. Ask God to strengthen them and open their understanding more to know and understand what happened here. Ask God to give them the grace to continue in God. In Him we live; in Him we move. Ask God to give them the grace to continue the work of salvation.
Remember the victims in one way or the other and ask for God’s intervention. Ask God for His power of resurrection within them and outside them, in Jesus Christ’s name we pray.
Remain silent and give thanks to God, within you. I want you to change your confession and give thanks to God.
Listen to God, not men. Don’t let your faith be disturbed. If anyone wants to disturb your faith with their negative words and message, remember God. See the need of God the more. See the need of serving the Lord the more, the need of moving closer to Him.
Don’t be disturbed. Pray for the relations; pray for the victims. That is your assignment – your love and prayer for the victims and the relations of the martyrs. That is your duty at this time.
Don’t allow yourself to be used by satan. If you do, satan will use his people to run to you and disturb you the more. This is an opportunity for them to disturb your faith with their negative words. Those who hate you and those who want you to die will run after you because of this issue. It is not that they love you but they want to see your countenance, your appearance, how you look and whether you are worried. Never allow this. Remember Jesus. Don’t change your words in a moment. Jesus is Lord.
What you saw happen - God is aware. If God is aware, who else is aware does not matter. The martyrs, victims and relations want to see your faith grow; they want to see the work of salvation and the work of God in your life continue. They want to see you serve the Lord the more. The only way you can allow the work of God to continue is to be with yourself and God, not to allow intruders and people around you to advise you and tell you what to do when they could not stop what happened.
I pray the satanic agents should be the only ones to suffer this. I said, our God will get back to them. Warn your family and brothers about their talk. You will know I am a man of God this time. People who are looking for your downfall and run to disturb your spirit, warn them to be careful of their tongues and the people who come to them. God is a God of vengeance – anybody can go for it.
You cannot help me, only God. Don’t disturb me; please leave me with God. You will see the outcome. I am saying this so that only the people who did this will suffer for it and you will not in any way suffer for it. The people who are writing whatever they are saying - all of us will see the outcome of this. Leave it for God.
I have been on this journey for 27 years. Do you think God can close His eyes and rubbish everything here? They are asking God to bring more evidence of whether He is the One who called me. Warn everyone to be very careful. This issue at hand is a delicate issue.
People are using all this to gain money and friends. This is a warning. Whatever anybody wants to write, let them write it; they will be the ones to read it.
I said, our God will get back to them. He has started somewhere. He is coming. If your brother is involved, unless he can resurrect the people who died, he will join them. If you can resurrect the people who died, you can go free. The servants, the people who sent them, the people who heard the stories all around and those who want to use it for themselves and disturb my spirit, you may likely join them. Be careful. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. Let us be very careful of our tongue.
Your responsibility is to the victims and the relations of the victims and martyrs of faith. If you say you are born again, wherever the victims and their relations are, wherever the relations of the martyrs of faith are, look for them. Let them know you are praying for them. What you eat, let them eat it. What you wear, let them wear out of it. What you have on your table, let them have it on their table, too. Share what you have with them – your love, prayer, affection and strength. Share it with them at this time. This is what we call ‘born again’ – my pain is your pain. Your joy is my joy.
The multitudes of people who claim to be with T.B. Joshua in prayer – if the same people turn to the families of the victims and martyrs of faith, do you not think life would be better for them than before? Join them, look for them, as many others are doing now.

135 members of a terrorist group, Boko haram, have surrendered to Nigerian Military (See Photo)

A total of 135 members of a terrorist group, Boko haram, have surrendered to troops around Biu Local Government Area in Borno State.
The spokesman for the military, Major General Chris Olukolade, told reporters on Wednesday that the terrorist also surrendered equipment to the military.
According to him, a group of 88 submitted themselves at Mairiga/Bun-Yadi while another group of 45 terrorists were taken in around Mubi-Michika on Tuesday evening.
They are all being interrogated and processed in conformity with the dictates of standard best practices
He also said that, the Nigerian military, in a counter-terrorism operation, killed one Mohammed Bashir, who has been acting or posing on videos as the deceased Abubakar Shekau, the eccentric character known as the leader of the Boko Haram sect, was killed in a counter-terrorism operation in the north-east.
Major General Olukolade, with the aid of video images, explained that Mr Bashir was killed after members of the terrorist group made not less than four attempts between September 12 and 17 to violate the security strategy and enter Konduga to attack citizens in the area.
“Air and land forces were subsequently deployed to handle the situation.
“The convoy of combat vehicles typical of terrorists’ mission that involves their top commanders, were fiercely engaged by the land and air forces. Several of the terrorists including some of their commanders lost their lives in the encounters which lasted an average of about four hours each, leading to the death of the man claiming to be Mr Shekau,” he said read.
In a statement, the Defence Headquarters warned that “since the name Shekau had become a brand name for the terrorists’ leader, it would remain resolute to serve justice to anyone who assumes that designation or title as well as all terrorists that seek to violate the freedom and territory of Nigeria”.
The Defence Headquarters also applauded the gallantry of the Nigerian troops who had remained undaunted and professional in prosecuting the campaign against terror.
It also mentioned that the keen interest exhibited by Nigeria’s neighbours and allies had been commendable, reassuring all allies in the war against terrorism of the Nigerian military’s resolve to maintain momentum in the efforts to decimate and defeat terrorists.
The military further stressed the need for all Nigerians to be alert, vigilant and cooperate with security forces in the war on terror campaign.

How The Military killed Abubakar Shekau ‘again’

Picture of Abacha Geidam (aka Abubakar Shekau) which was released by the military in Abuja... on Wednesday

The Defence authorities have confirmed the killing of the leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, during one of the four encounters with insurgents in Kodunga, Borno State between September 12 and 17, 2014.

The Director of Defence Information, Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade, said during a news conference in Abuja on Wednesday, that the corpse of the insurgents’ leader was identified by the people of Kodunga.

He said that Shekau whose real name was Mohammed Bashir had used other names like Abacha Abdullahi Geidam and Damasack.

Olukolade illustrated the Defence authorities claim with pictures of the bullet-ridden corpse of Shekau and a video of the battle in which he was killed.

Four days ago, the Cameroon Concord reported that the Cameroonian troops killed Shekau during a cross border aerial bombardment of his hideout in Nigeria on Saturday.

To prove the killing, the newspaper also published photographs of the bearded   Shekau whom it said then usually appeared in videos as the leader of Boko Haram.

But Olukolade dismissed the claim that   Shekau was killed by Cameroonian security forces within Nigeria.

“There was no raid whatsoever by Cameroon or any foreign forces in any part of Nigeria’s territory in pursuit of terrorists as claimed in some reports allegedly quoting Cameroon authorities,” he had said.

He had also claimed in a tweet on Wednesday last week that troops who repelled an attack by insurgents in Kodunga, captured a high ranking terrorist leader who was being treated in military medical facility.

On Tuesday, a Nigerian journalist known to have done in-depth stories on Boko Haram, Ahmad Salkida, said he had it on “good authority” that Shekau was hale and hearty.

Writing on his Twitter handle, Salkida, who is on self-exile in the United Arab Emirates, claimed that Shekau was not the one in the pictures of a corpse that trended on Monday on social media after they were published by the Cameroon Concord.

“Mark my words: I have it on authority that Shekau is well and alive. The pictures going round are not that of the person who torments us with his group,” the journalist added.

The spokesperson for the Department of State Service had in May claimed that “the real Abubakar Shekau had been taken out.”

“Boko Haram has become a franchise; anybody can assume and lay claim to any name. What   I know is that the original Abubakar Shekau is dead; the person claiming to be the national leader now is not the original Abubakar Shekau.

“If security sources tell you that somebody is dead, you don’t have to come out and doubt that,” Ogar said.

A former spokesman for the Joint Task Force in the North-East, Sagir Musa, had in a statement in August 2013, also   said that Shekau might have been killed during a battle with troops in June last year.

But during the news conference on Wednesday, the defence spokesman   said that many top commanders of Boko Haram were also killed in the four battles against the insurgents   between September 12 and 17.

Olukolade added that the military was determined to eliminate anybody, who claims to be Shekau, a name which, he said had become a brand for the leader of the insurgents.

He said, “Nigerian troops have been conducting coordinated air and land operations in furtherance of efforts at containing the terrorists in the North-East. Somehow, it became apparent that the terrorists, in continuation of their campaign of terror, were determined to take over communities around Maiduguri, which is their prime target.

“There was, therefore, the need to ensure that communities such as Kodunga were protected. It is noteworthy that the terrorists made no less than four attempts between September 12 and 17 to violate the security and enter Kodunga to perpetrate their atrocities. Air and land forces were subsequently deployed to handle the situation.

“The convoy of combat vehicles typical of terrorists’ mission that involved their top commanders was   engaged by   land and air forces. Several of the terrorists, including some of their commanders, lost their lives in the encounters which lasted an average of about five hours each. The troops captured some of the terrorists and their equipment.

“In the course of those encounters, one Mohammed Bashir, who has been acting or posing on videos as the deceased Abubakar Shekau, the eccentric character known as leader of the group, died.

“Since the name Shekau has become a brand name for the terrorists’ leader, the Nigerian military remains resolute to serve justice to anyone who assumes that designation or title as well as all terrorists that seek to violate the freedom and territory of Nigeria.

“On restoring normalcy after the encounters, inhabitants of the community who were victims of their activities corroborated information on the identity of Bashir Mohammed alias Abubakar Shekau, alias Abacha Abdullahi Geidam alias Damasack, etc.

Indeed, the recent devastation on the leadership of the insurgents is attributable to the renewed commitment to the mission of eradicating terrorism in our country.”

Olukolade also said that   135 insurgents surrendered   their weapons to troops in Borno and Adamawa states on Tuesday evening.

He added that   88 of them surrendered at Mairiga/Buniyadi while another set of 45 were arrested around Mubi-Michika.

The Defence spokesman said the insurgents   were undergoing interrogation in strict compliance with standard procedure.

“A total of 135 terrorists yesterday (Tuesday) evening surrendered along with their equipment to troops around the Biu Local Government Area. A group of 88 submitted themselves at Mairiga/Buni – Yadi while another group of 45 terrorists were taken in around Mubi – Michika. They are all being interrogated and processed in conformity with the dictates of standard best practices,” he added.

The Defence Headquarters had earlier said that 10 insurgents surrendered at Kawuri on Monday and another five at Konduga on Saturday.

This brings the total number of insurgents who have surrendered after the Kodunga battles   to 150.

Investigation by The PUNCH on Wednesday revealed that troops were intensifying a house-to-house search   in Madagali, Gulak, Michika,   Bazza and other communities in Adamawa State   for 70 fleeing insurgents.

It was gathered that six members of the sect   were caught by troops at a refugee centre in Yola on Wednesday.

FG’ll celebrate B’Haram surrender not Shekau’s death – Maku

Meanwhile, the Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, said on Wednesday that the Federal Government was more interested in   Boko Haram members laying down their arms than in the said death of   Shekau.

Maku told journalists after   the weekly   Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja on Wednesday   that the government was not interested in celebrating the death of the terrorist.

“The Federal Government would be happier if the Boko Haram leader and his group laid down their weapons and embraced peace,” he said.

The minister added, “Government has a responsibility to respect human rights unlike members of the Boko Haram sect who have thrown away all sympathy for human lives and are prepared to kill people just for killing’s sake.

“For us it is immaterial if the leader of the terrorist group is killed or not. We want them to drop their weapons and embrace peace. We want them to drop their weapons, stop killing their parents and innocent people and accept peace.”
