The labour unions in the
Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Petroleum and Gas Senior Staff
Association and the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers
on Friday resolved to suspend their planned strike, which would have
paralysed the whole country if the planned industrial action takes off.
NAN reports that the planned strike has been shelved owing to the intervention of the Minister of Petroleum, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke.
