Uyo prepares for President Jonathan’s visit

UYO— There is heavy security presence in Uyo, the Akwa-Ibom State capital and other urban centres of the state as President Goodluck Jonathan visits the state today to commission a gas processing facility, including a 69-kilometre gas pipeline at Uquo-Ibeno.

The state Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr. Aniekan Umanah in a statement, said President Jonathan will commission the gas processing facility alongside the 69 kilometers pipeline at Uquo, constructed under a public private partnership arrangement between Septa Energy and the Akwa Ibom State Government.
